Voici l\u2019histoire d\u2019un salari\u00e9 que je nommerai Marcel, rencontr\u00e9 lors d\u2019une session de sensibilisation sur le th\u00e8me des accidents de plain-pied.<\/p>\n

Marcel, d\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de la session, intervient\u00a0:<\/p>\n

– La pr\u00e9vention, \u00e7a devient du grand n\u2019importe quoi\u00a0!<\/em><\/p>\n

Je le questionne :<\/p>\n

\u2013 C\u2019est fort ce que vous nous dites, pouvez-vous nous expliquer\u00a0?<\/em><\/p>\n

Marcel pr\u00e9cise\u00a0:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Je suis \u00e0 la logistique. Il y a trois mois, lors du d\u00e9chargement d\u2019un camion, un carton en haut d\u2019une palette commence \u00e0 tomber. Pour \u00e9viter la casse, j\u2019ai le r\u00e9flexe de le retenir. Malheureusement, son poids est trop important et je n\u2019arrive pas \u00e0 le retenir. Le carton tombe et je me tords le doigt. Suite \u00e0 \u00e7a, on me convoque \u00e0 l\u2019analyse d\u2019accident et je vous passe les d\u00e9tails. Mais conclusion\u00a0: accident de comportement\u00a0! <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>

Je lui dis alors\u00a0:<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Vous voulez dire que vous vouliez bien faire\u00a0? <\/em><\/p>\n

Il r\u00e9pond :<\/p>\n

– Oui, c\u2019est \u00e7a. On cherche \u00e0 bien faire et on nous dit qu\u2019on n\u2019a pas le bon comportement\u00a0! C\u2019est quand m\u00eame dingue\u00a0!!!<\/em><\/p>\n

En d\u2019autres termes, l\u2019analyse d\u2019accident n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e correctement pour laisser chez Marcel une trace aussi n\u00e9gative. L\u2019analyse a peut-\u00eatre \u00e9t\u00e9 faite \u00e0 charge mais le terme de\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0comportement\u00a0\u00bb vient renforcer ce sentiment.<\/p>\n

Des exemples de ce type, il y en a des centaines.<\/p>\n

Quand je demande aux pr\u00e9venteurs de me citer quelques exemples d\u2019accidents de comportement, ils me donnent souvent celui\u00a0de la personne\u00a0qui a chut\u00e9 dans l\u2019escalier \u00e0 cause de la pr\u00e9cipitation avec, en plus, les bras charg\u00e9s de son ordinateur portable.<\/p>\n

L\u00e0 encore, du point de vue de l\u2019employ\u00e9, son \u00ab\u00a0comportement\u00a0\u00bb est normal et positif\u00a0: il se d\u00e9p\u00eache pour servir ses clients, pour servir l\u2019entreprise. S\u2019il se voit class\u00e9 dans la cat\u00e9gorie des accidents de \u00ab\u00a0comportement\u00a0\u00bb, cela risque fort de le braquer durablement contre la pr\u00e9vention.<\/p>\n

Cette approche li\u00e9e au comportement va souvent \u00eatre v\u00e9cue comme injuste car\u00a0:<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Je fais au mieux. <\/em><\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Tout le monde fait comme \u00e7a.<\/em><\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Mon chef venait de me dire\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0va vite sur le chantier pour r\u00e9soudre le probl\u00e8me\u2026\u00a0\u00bb <\/em><\/p>\n

Donc mon \u00ab\u00a0comportement\u00a0\u00bb est bien positif mais j\u2019ai eu un accident.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est donc un autre probl\u00e8me.<\/p>\n

Et l\u2019individu va vivre une incompr\u00e9hension totale lorsque le pr\u00e9venteur, lui, cat\u00e9gorisera l\u2019accident comme un accident de comportement.<\/p>\n
